I was wonder what the steroid hormones of the adrenal medulla are? I see that it is mentioned in the title of 2.3A.7 BIO2, but I only see catecholamines mentioned, which are tyrosine derivatives.
Thanks!

Hi,
The hormones released by the medulla are epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine. They are both derived from tyrosine and are interconverted through a decarboxylation reaction and a couple of oxidations.
Hope this helps!
