Hi,

I wanted to know if someone could help explain the mcat trend that is stated on page 188. I understand that it works for acids, would it be the same exact trend for bases? For example, if the kb of a weak base is less than 10^-7, would it its conjugate acid be stronger?

Also, on page 211 there is a statement of "mcat favourite". I wanted to know if someone could help explain the significance of the oxidation half reaction of hydrogen.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
