Question 1 in prep101 CC- What is the molecular basis of the observed property of BPTI:
I was wondering why the answer to this question is B instead of C.
Also, what is the relationship of multiple disulfide bonds with the conformation # of the protein?

Thank you!

Hi there,

For C, organophosphates inhibit serine residues, not cysteine.

I am sorry, I am not so sure what you mean by conformation #. Do you mean the protein structure level, like primary/secondary, etc. structures? Disulfide bond contributes to tertiary structure.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
