Q17. It is not clear to me how this question is considered a question asking about the main idea. I thought it is asking for a specific argument from the author against block tariffs.

Q20. This question asks about an alternative logical explanation to the author's, but I noticed that the answer is exactly like the author's argument and not an alternative to it so I was a little confused.

Hi Shahd,

Q17:
What clues me into thinking about the main idea is that it is asking for the authors "primary" argument. The word "primary" makes me think about what their overall point and goal is.
Q20:
D - is the correct answer. It is actually suggesting a new argument because it is blaming the disparities on what happened during apartheid, instead of how changes implemented after apartheid are to blame for the disparities.
