Q3: By strict control of stereochemistry, do they mean like if it was in R confirmation than it stays as R? Because going from dopamine to noradrenaline, it did not even have a stereocenter before so im not understanding how there can be strict control of it.
Q8: why isn't the 2H and H+ shown in the original equation in the passage? Because they are present after we have crossed out everything else so is that still okay even though its not shown in the original question?
Q10: if BHB is a ketone body, which increases blood acidity, then im not understanding why upregulating so making more of it will increase ph instead
q16: im confused with why the answer is not A. under basic conditions, i know that bases are negatively charged. But don't we also say that bases get protonated? So why has it lost a H? is it like under basic conditions the amino acids act like acids and under acidic conditions amino acids act like bases?
Q12: im having a hard time understanding when compounds should be protonated/deprotonated. For instance, how did we know that the carboxylic acid would be deprotonated and the amine group protonated under acidic conditions but what about under basic conditions?
