In a hypothetical alternative splicing, say a pre-mRNA has 2 exons: exon 1 100 bps and exon 2 150 bps. Can you have the final mRNA as exon 1 90 bps + exon 2 150 bps? Or do you have to either include or exclude an exon as an intact block?
