When ions, proteins and water are being absorbed within the nephron, where do they go? If for example there is increased absorption of Cl- ions, does that mean the blood has a higher concentration of Cl- ions?

Thank you!

Reabsorption is the process by which any solutes and water are removed from the filtrate into the renal interstitium (aka the connective tissue that surrounds the nephrons). These substances can then be transported from the interstitium into the bloodstream.

Hope this helps!
