Hello,

I am just wondering if someone would be able to clarify the difference between an Enol and an Enolate? (a drawing of each structure would be greatly appreciated if possible)

Hello,

An enol is the alcohol version (-OH) of the tautomer, while the enolate is the charged alcohol version of the tautomer (-O). The enol is the acid, the enolate is the base.
