Hi,

Here is the question and the answer was D.

The intensity of the radiation emitted by the oxygen sensor is directly proportional to the:

A.propagation speed of the radiation.
B.wavelength of the radiation.
C.polarization of photons emitted.
D.number of photons emitted.

I want to make sure my reasoning was correct for this:

-I eliminated answer B right away as I thought Intensity is inversely proportional to wavelength (and directly proportional to the frequency of the radiation, according to the equation E=hf. If we increase the number of photons emitted, we increase the frequency, increasing E.

Is there something I'm missing in my reasoning?

Thanks!

Hi Mohammed,

I'll best be able to answer this question with the passage/screenshot. Would you be able to snip it and attach it here?

Thanks!
