Hello,
In AAMC Exam 1 the first passage includes an E1 mechanism and there is a question related to it. I thought E1 and E2 mechanisms were not included on the mcat, is that correct?

Hi Sukham,

E1 and E2 reactions are low yield and tend to be introduced if in a passage. It's not impossible for you to see them, but I wouldn't bet on them showing up.

I think it might be good to look into them a bit if you're shooting for a really high score (like 518+) because these types of reactions can be biologically relevant to steroid cascades, but I would not bet on them showing up on an average exam.
