Hi there,

I wish to know how similar in difficulty are the EK questions and exams, and prep 101 practice set questions to the real AAMC MCAT questions. I find that the EK questions are considerably more difficult than the practice sets and AAMC. Thanks in advance!

Hi Corrine,

Thank you for reaching out!

We can't speak to individual tests or questions, our practice materials are, on average, slightly more difficult than the actual MCAT. We don’t want to use practice materials that are too easy and then test day becomes a horror show surprise for you. So, we err on the side of more difficulty. This is especially true of EK In-Class Exams and the AAMC Section Bank but partly true for everything except the AAMC Practice Exams.

The downside of using more challenging practice material is that you may feel needlessly demoralized early in the course. Don’t get down on yourself! Remember that your performance will improve and that the material will get easier.

Best of luck with your studies!
