Hi,

I wanted to know if i need to know what nonbonding and antibonding orbitals are and their general energy trends for the mcat as it was a question that popped up on a altius full length but had a passage about it. And also do we need to know what bond order is?

Hey Lydia,

You should know what bond order is (single/double/triple bonds). As for antibonding and nonbonding orbitals, could you tell me what question this was/what exam this was? I don't believe that its an important concept to know for the MCAT. It may have been something that appeared in the particular passage.

Hope this helps,

Molly
