I was just wondering for reaction rate if you know the rate of consumption of one of the reactants can you determine the rate of formation of one of the products by just using the stoich coefficients. For example 2A+B->3C+2D and you know that for A the rate of consumption is 1 mol/L/s and you wanted to know the rate of consumption of C would you just use the stoich coefficients?

Hi,

Yes, for an elementary reaction, one can relate the rate of consumption of a reaction to the rate of formation of a product using stoich coefficients of the balanced equation.

Your CC explains this a bit better on page 84 and this website gives some good examples of how to solve.
